CAR ACCIDENT POSTPONES OPENING WEEKEND OF SCROOGE
All opening weekend performances of SCROOGE: THE MUSICAL have been cancelled (Nov. 26, 27 & 28). Thomas E. Cunningham, the actor playing the role of Scrooge in this production, is recovering from a car accident that took place Wednesday, Nov. 24. To ensure that he has ample time to recoup, the show will now open on Friday, Dec. 3 with Cunningham.
“Many people are coming to this show specifically to see Tommy,” said Sooner Theatre Executive Director Jennifer Baker. “He is an amazing performer playing the title role and that simply cannot be covered by another actor on such short notice.”
The Sooner Theatre is attempting to contact people holding tickets for the November 26, 27 or 28 performances, with detailed information on how to exchange tickets or request a refund. Requests for exchanges or refunds MUST be made before 5 pm, Friday, Dec. 3. Exchanges and refunds cannot be made after the show opens. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this causes ticket holders and we wish Tommy a full and speedy recovery!
Performances are scheduled for Dec. 3-5 and 10-12, 2010.
