The Stachmus Agency:
Founded by Betty Stachmus, the agency's original roots can be dated back over 60 years. At sixteen years of age Betty began her work in the insurance industry at the Ainsworth Agency located in rural S.E. Oklahoma. In 1961 she purchased the Ainsworth Agency in McAlester and the following year, 1962 she purchased the Vinzetta Agency in Haileyville. By 1986 she had established The Stachmus/McIntosh County Agency in Eufaula. This business continues as a family affair with Betty's son and grandchildren managing operations today. The heart of the agency still resides in McAlester, OK.
