In my travels, both throughout the country and on the net, I've found others that claim to be in the Windmill business. They're selling a Windmill that is either rebuilt by an assembly line or not even rebuilt at all. The old adage comes to mind; "you get what you pay for!" How many Windmills has Dobbs Windmill & Pump serviced?

The exact number is in the 1000's, but suffice it to say that we repair about 240 Windmills per year.

Most repairs and rebuilds can be accomplished in one day, which includes taking the Windmill down from the tower, rebuilding the motor with new gears, etc., painting and lubricating the motor and replacing it upon its' tower. Also included in the one day time-frame is pulling the pump cylinders from the well, repairing or cleaning of the cylinder, and replacing them in the well.

We carry all the parts needed to service Aermoter & Dempster Windmills to each call. Our goal: "To provide the best in quality service in the least amount of time!"

What size of Windmill does Dobbs specialize in?

Dobbs services Windmills of all sizes, but primarily works on 6' to 8' Windmills that can be erected on up to 50' towers.

Most Windmills have a life of 5 to 30 years, depending on environmental conditions and service plan.
