Quail Creek Golf and Country Club is an established and vital part of the Quail Creek community in the northwest section of Oklahoma City. The Club is situated on 158 acres with 125 acres devoted to the golf course. The vision of Quail Creek Golf and Country Club was that of the developer, John W. Johnson. Quail Creek was designed and organized to provide the ultimate in club facilities and services. The plans for Quail Creek Golf and Country Club began in 1960 and the Floyd Farley golf course design and construction and the William Howard clubhouse design and construction followed in 1961-1962 respectively.

Quail Creek Golf and Country Club selected Floyd Farley to design and construct the 18-hole golf course in 1961, while Ernie Vossler became the Clubs first Golf Professional. Quail Creek has played host to many prestigious events in the past that including the Oklahoma City Open 1962 to 1968 (won by Arnold Palmer in 1964 and Tony Lema in 1966), the Bob Hope Silver Pages Classic and the Southwestern Bell Golf Classic in the late eighties. A total course redesign and renovation in 1999 now provides the membership a beautiful, distinctive and challenging golf environment. The course is 6933 yards from the back tees with a Slope of 140 and a Rating of 75.2.

Quail Creek is proud to unveil the new Swimming Pool in May of 2010! Adjacent to the clubhouse is one of Oklahomas largest swimming pools featuring a zero-entry shallow area with a new boat feature, a new 20-foot tall - 150-foot long slide feature, poolside seating and dining at the Terrace Grill area, "The Entertainment Garden", for special outdoor events. Summer activities including Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Movie Nights and Dollar Nights are family celebrations at the Quail Creek pool that highlight the season. Music, volleyball, basketball and playground and various activities for the children are planned for each of the special days!

William L. Howard of Howard, Samis, Davies Architects and Engineers rendered the original clubhouse design of Quail Creek Golf and Country Club. Mr. Howard was an apprentice and protg of the famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, and the Wright-influence is present in the use of massive stone, mahogany wood and Tennessee quartz. This unique architecture provides the perfect setting for casual dining elegance with a contemporary flair.

Incorporated in 1960 and located in one of Oklahoma Citys finest residential neighborhoods, Quail Creek Golf & Country Club was created to fulfill the need for an exclusive family recreation environment and a fine golf course in the northwest area of the city.
