Century Bank was founded more than 25 years ago in Pryor, Oklahoma by a group of local businessmen who believed there was a need for a bank that truly served the community.

In 2007, the bank was purchased and changed to a state charter under the name of Century Bank of Oklahoma. The new management and ownership remains passionate about the bank’s role in the community and continues to develop one-on-one relationships with old and new customers alike.

Growing to more than fifty active shareholder families in 2009, Century Bank of Oklahoma made the decision to extend its relationship banking philosophy to Tulsa. These families represent many small to medium sized businesses in Oklahoma and through them we understand the need for specialized banking services, not only for individuals and families, but those who want to grow their companies with secure financial services.

We decided early on that, “Century Bank of Oklahoma would conduct our business with integrity, where our employees are proud of where they work, our customers are proud of where they bank and the citizens in the communities we serve are proud that we remain a hometown bank with strong roots in each community.”

Century Bank of Oklahoma is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2012, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
