Victory At Last!In August, 2005, Mr. Ward
successfully defended a Fort Worth
physician who was accused of
murdering a patient. Later, in 2006,
Mr. Ward won a reversal of the
physician's conviction for negligent
homicide arising from the case.
Finally, on December 5, 2008, all
charges were dismissed against
the physician. In its opinion
reversing the conviction, the
Appeals Court referred to Mr.
Ward's questioning of witnesses as
"studious." A reporter for Texas
Lawyer magazine wrote that Mr.
Ward's work resulted in "one of the
best-tried cases in North Texas in
