The weather has changed, it’s getting darker earlier, The trees are beautiful, everybody has quit stirring, and the Holiday Season is here! You may have noticed the Christmas Catalogue in your mailbox telling you of some of the great deals that Bernina has in store for you. Nancy and Fran and Arthene and the other ladies have been working to make the store cheery and welcoming for you. Come and be Inspired!
Don’t tell anyone I said so, but if your machine needs a tune up, now is a good time. The techs are all caught up at this moment, a rare opportunity this time of year.
There are quite a few “Previously Loved” Berninas ready to go as well, at some bargain prices. 200s, 185s, 180s, 1530, 1630, 1006, and even a Nova 900! If you need a backup, or companion for your current Bernina, or are ready to trade up, this is a great time for you.
Don’t miss the Holiday Open House on December 9th. In place of BERNINA Sewing Clubs during December, we have a party with refreshments, specials, and activities for you and your sewing friends. Plan to come by and visit. We’d love to see you!
Best Wishes for a Great Holiday season!

Tips and Reminders

The right tools make completing your projects easier, faster, and more enjoyable.
Organize your tools, fabric, stash, and sewing books. An organized place is a happier, more relaxing place to sew.
Make a list/pictures of all the tools and feet that you have and keep the list in a fire/tornado safe place. If ever needed, it will make replacement much faster and easier.
Have a good stash of needles on hand. It makes changing them much easier.
Have on hand all the different types, sizes, and tips of needles that you might need.
Bring your machine in for a tune up once every year.
Do you have both an old and a new Bernina machine? The feet are not interchangeable. Here’s a fun way to remember which belong to which: older machine feet, before 1997, belong to the Black Food Tribe and newer machine feet, after 1997, belong to the Red Foot Tribe. This refers to the color of the numbers on the feet.
Wonder Tape on the bottom of your inner hoop will help you keep things where you want them when hooping.
Don’t skimp on stabilizer, it just doesn’t pay.
It’s always a good idea to clean off your hoops when they get gunk on them from stabilizer, it makes everything easier to hoop.
