It' s late at night and the phone rings. A friend or relative has been arrested and you don't know what to do. Not to worry, there is a simple solution right at your fingertips. In this modern age, where nearly everything is done online, bail bonding has been made easier than ever. Life is difficult enough without having to leave your home in an emergency to rush down to a bail bondsman to bail a friend or relative out of jail, especially in the middle of the night. Now, with your debit or credit card, you can pay for their bail with online bail bonds.
HOW IT WORKS
When you apply for online bail bonds the first thing you will need to do is process an application for bond. This requires some basic information about the defendant and if you don't have it you may need to call a friend or relative to get the pertinent information. It is imperative that the bail bondsman has this information before they can even consider posting a bond. The bonding company has to have a way to track the defendant after they are released from jail. This is really not much more difficult than filling out a job application for the defendant.
The bail bondsman needs to know what county or jail the defendant is being held in and the bond amount. By calling the appropriate jail facility, you can find out how much the bond amount is. If you can't find the bond amount information just leave that portion of the application blank, the bail bondsman will be able to find out how much the bond is. Sometimes that information isn't posted right away due to the fact that the defendant hasn't been before a judge to have the amount set yet.
Next they need to know the defendant's first and last name as well as their date of birth. They will also need to know what city and state they were born in. You will need the defendant's permanent address including city and zip code. After that, you will need to know the name of the defendant's employer and how long they have been working for that employer. Lastly, you will need to know if the defendant is married or not.
The last step in the online bail bonds process is the payment. You will need the defendant's name. At this point, you will need to know how much the bond is which you can find out by calling the bail bond office. The last part is your name, address, email, phone and your credit card information. It is really just that simple. Keep in mind that just because you have posted the bond your friend or relative may not be out right away. There is still processing that they have to go through at the jail in order to be released and depending upon how busy the jail is that can take a few hours to a couple of days. Try to be patient.
We all know that sometimes bad things happen unexpectedly and an emergency can arise. Things really don't have to be more difficult than they already are. With online bail bonds, you have such a great advantage because you don't have to jump up and leave your home or job and rush down to a bail bonds company. From the comfort of your home or office, you can post bond and make sure your friend or relative gets the help that they very much need.
